I love this. Congrats on the place and I am so glad I get to see what a beautiful place I am sure this will be. Good luck!!! XOXO Leigh Anna
I am inspired beyond words as I read your blog! Don’t stop.
It’s like reading a good book – as soon as I finish one “chapter” I can’t wait to start the next.
Send your blog to HGTV!! They need you!
You are a “Renovation Renegade”! Go girl.
kaye.
You would give the new Design Star a run for her money….love the vintage and industrial look (coming from a girl with a huge chicken incubator as a sofa table, a chicken carrier on my wall for a shelf and a 100+ year old farm house table in my kitchen
– no telling what can show up in one’s house with some imagination! And you’ve got it! Can’t wait to hear what your walls say next!
Ok – LOVE the photo spread of book pages – fun to read – visually appealing layout. You should be submitting everywhere! BH&G, Southern Living, HGTV, HomeLife, Traditional Homes, Woman’s Day, etc…etc…DIY Network….go for it girl and let God land it where only He can!
Darling video – can’t wait to see the end result! Save a spot on one of those swings for me! I’m convinced in heaven I won’t even need a mansion – just a porch and swing with some flowers to swing, sing, and praise God!
Hey Amy!,
I ran across a customer of mine’s barn wood furniture website. Looks like some pretty neat stuff. Figured I’d pass this along to ya!

As a woman who has 7 fireplaces as part of my home (one which is two sided but that one is outside where I have no worries of cars crashing)
…I say pick what’s behind door number 2 – (sorry that was a bit Monty from Let’s Make a Deal)….I mean door option #2. Love the arches – looks tres’ chic French which I’m all about. Repose Toi Un Peu (I used to have that painted on one of my fireplaces and the translation is supposed to be “Linger Longer” – perfect by a fireplace don’t you think?) Yes – I live in the desert where temps reach 120 degrees sometime in the summer…but oh oh oh when a fire is lit – so is my sense of home. Cheers to you and the many deLIGHTful memories to be made by your fireLIGHT where you can stare out those doors and see the moonLIGHT.
Amy! I love, love, love your blog – and your home!!! Looking forward to following your progress.
My daughter said she met you at a conference in Nashville. She’s with Scripps Networks. She recommended your blog. It’s nicely done and informative. I’m over in the Knoxville area and do a back-to-the-land blog. You might be interested: http://www.deerfielddiary.blogspot.com. Keep up the good work and we’ll be reading.
